The average price in the biomass exchange is published pursuant to the requirements of clause 21.1.3 of the Rules of Procurement of Energy and/or Biomass Required for Power and Thermal Energy Production by Companies Operating in the Energy Sector approved by Resolution No. 277 dated 3 March 2003 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter the Rules of Procurement of Energy and/or Biomass), i.e. participants of the biomass market must be provided with conditions to compare the price of the winning offer with the average price in the biomass exchange prior to acquiring biomass in other manners.
